The first step in learning how to record using Panopto is to make sure you have an audio device connected. Then, open Panopto and click the Record button. This will open a new recording and add it to the end of the previous one. Once you’re done recording, you can stop, pause, or resume recording. When the recording has finished, you can choose to remove the previous recording or add a short description of the video.
You can adjust the screen resolution and frame rate per second by using the Secondary Sources panel. You can also enable the screen capture preview before launching the recording. Once the recording is started, you can launch the presentation and narrate your presentation. You don’t need to worry about the initial setup footage as the next section will cover editing Panopto sessions. For further information, see the following sections. To begin, open the Recorder tab and click “Record”.
In the Recorder window, you’ll find three tabs. On the left-hand side, click on the Video tab. Choose a video source and an audio source. After that, enter a title for the recording. Once you’re done, click on the Record button. The recording will start automatically. To change the title, you should choose the quality you want to record. Alternatively, you can manually edit the recordings afterwards.
After setting up your video recording settings, you’ll want to review the recorded video. If there’s something you’d like to tweak, you can make adjustments in the Secondary Sources panel. For example, you can change the screen resolution, bit rate, and frame rate per second. You can also toggle the preview on and off by clicking “Preview.” Lastly, you can review the recording at any time by clicking the link in the Panopto window.
To record a video session, simply launch Panopto from your computer. You’ll have to log in to your account and choose the video source you want to use. After that, you’ll need to set the audio volume and title, and then press the Record button. Once you’ve finished, you’ll have a video that you can share with your colleagues and students. The recording will be saved on your account in your Panopto course.

You’ll see a preview of your video in the recording window. Once you’ve recorded the video, you can edit it, save, and share it with others. Depending on your equipment, you may have to expand a tab to record in the video.
