I tried updating with Windows 10 Update Assistant. It started updating about 7 hours ago as far as I remember. Before this step, it had to verify the update.
Could explain exactly where you are, like you upgraded to and are doing follow on updates or you are still trying the upgrade to complete. I spent hours the other day on a system upgrading and it took and long time and failed. I don’t know exactly where your system is but wait as long as you can, as long as you see or hear some type of activity.. If the upgrade has failed, the system has to undo what was done which also takes a while and I saw no indications that was happening.

I followed your instructions and, while the installation did complete this time which is encouraging , upon restarting the laptop encountered the same issues as before freezing on the logo screen, no spinning dots, totally stuck for several hours. In the end I had to reboot again. Any other ideas?
Hi I am having the same issue. I found a solution from another user on a separate board who suggested disabling secure boot before running the update you can find out how to do so specifically online, but it’s basically in your BIOS settings and then re-enabling it when you were sure the update was complete and configured.
