How to draw Totoro – Allows call formed!

Stage 1

In this first step of our focus on how to draw Totoro, we won’t start with Totoro himself. Instead, we’ll draw a border around it to help make this image even more charming. The rim will be oval and will almost look like an egg. If you have a large flat oval object to trace, this should make it easier; otherwise, you can slowly draw it freehand. As you can see in our reference image, there will be two small gaps above this oval, as your ears will fit there later. Once you’ve drawn this border, it’s time to move on to step 2!

Step 2: Next, draw the beginning of Totoro’s head and ears

Now that you have completed the oval border for your Totoro drawing, we can start drawing Totoro himself. To start with, you can draw two small circles relatively far apart. Add a dot to each one to finish drawing their eyes. Next, we’ll use curved lines for the sides of his head, and then we can add his ears. His ears are very similar to a rabbit’s and have a jagged line at the base and a rounded line at the top. Finally, draw a small black nose between the eyes with some line detail above, and then draw six long whiskers on his face.

Step 3: Start drawing his body in the next step.

Continuing with this step of our guide on how to draw Totoro, we will begin to draw his body. For his body, we’ll use a slightly jagged line to draw his arms that extend down from the base of his head. We will use this jagged line to give it a more fluffy and fuzzy look. Then you can draw more of those jagged lines for the sides of his belly on the inside edge of his arms. The last thing we will add to the image below is to draw his mouth. His mouth will lower slightly to give her a slightly puzzled expression. So let’s go to step 4!

Step 4: Now remove his floors and other elements.

Your Totoro illustration is already beginning to carry a body! We will move further in this fourth step by drawing some details with his legs. First, you can draw another jagged line similar to the ones you drew for his stomach and his arms on top of his stomach. Next, we will draw curved shapes below this line.
